“Avengers” and “Iron Man 3” Included in Marvel/Paramount Deal

Avengers
Now that DreamWorks is no longer part of Paramount Pictures, that leaves a total sum of six films per year for Paramount Pictures. In order to have a full scheduled, Paramount extended their pact with Marvel by agreeing to distribute their next five films.
Those upcoming movies include:

“Men in Black 3” Still Being Considered

Men in Black
With all the franchises that are trying to add another installment, some of us has wondered if there is any movement on "Men in Black 3," which has been in the rumor mill for a while.
According to a source close to producer Walter Parkes, a third film could potentially be on its way, if pieces begin falling into place. "The challenge is getting the script right and finding a time when our busy stars are available," said the source. "But everyone, including Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, wants to do another."

“Max Payne” Two New TV Spots

Max Payne
Two TV spots for the upcoming big screen adaptation of the popular "Max Payne" video game have appeared online. According to these TV spots, the director was able to fight off the MPAA to end up with a PG-13 rating like he wanted.
The action-thriller tells the story of a maverick cop determined to track down those responsible for the brutal murder of his family and partner. Hell-bent on revenge, his obsessive investigation takes him on a nightmare journey into a dark underworld. As the mystery deepens, Max (Mark Wahlberg) is forced to battle enemies beyond the natural world and face an unthinkable betrayal.

Kenneth Branagh Wants to Helm “Thor”

Kenneth Branagh
Director/actor Kenneth Branagh is in negotiations to helm "Thor," the next Marvel Comics property that will be turned into a live-action film by Marvel Studios which is scheduled to be released in 2010.
Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige’s choice of Branagh is surprising, as Branagh hasn’t really directed an action-heavy film since his debut on "Henry V," the telling of the British king’s conquest of France.

Zack Snyder Developing Video Games

Zack Snyder
Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen) has signed a deal to develop three original video games for Electronic Arts, which is the world’s leading independent developer and publisher of interactive entertainment and games software for console systems. The agreement is very similar to one made by EA with Steven Spielberg in 2005. Their first collaboration, a puzzle game for the Nintendo Wii called "Boom Blox," was released in the spring to rave reviews but modest sales.

Bryan Fuller Talks New Star Trek Series

Star Trek TVThe last Star Trek TV series was Enterprise which aired it’s finale episode in May of 2005. Before that some form of Star Trek was on television continuously starting with the Star Trek: The Next Generation in 1987. That’s 18 years of solid Trek. And for you math fans that’s a whopping 624 episodes!

New and Better “The Spirit” Trailer

The SpiritWell I was a bit concerned that "The Spirit" might be terrible after watching those bootleg trailers that came from ComicCon, but this new trailer has some great-looking scenes and very interesting footage. As much as director Frank Miller denies it, the film looks very similar to "Sin City." But will it be of the same quality?

Bill Murray Talks Ghost Busters 3 on Video

Bill Murray
Bill Murray attended the screening of his upcoming film "City of Ember" at Fantastic Fest, where he was asked about "Ghostbusters 3" and whether he would consider returning for the new installment.
