Now don’t frown as we also will have Erin Gray in it though of course she won’t be Wilma Deering, and the other great thing is none other than the James Cawley’s production team are behind the venture. James Cawley  is well known for the fan made work on ‘Star Trek Phase II‘, ‘Star Trek: New Voyages’ and is well known to most Sci-Fi fans for doing quality webisodes.

Anywho the teaser shows off Buck’s star fighter which was designed by Cawley and Jeff Hayes, and was animated by Tobias Richter. By the look of the ship and the way the teaser is put together makes it seem that this webseries will be totally Retro with a feel of the old Flash Gordon TV series from the 50’s even down to it’s logo. The Dille Family Trust is allowing Cawley to create and distribute the 20 episode Web series based on the “Generation One” Buck Rogers franchise. Unlike Cawley’s “Star Trek” productions, viewers will have to pay to watch the new Buck. But it’s worth checking out when the series hits the net, and you never know, if enough interest is shown we might just get a new Buck Rogers TV series out of it.

The pilot (“Armageddon: 2491”) for Buck Rogers in the 25th Century is slated to debut in the Fall of 2010. Some of the production is already complete, with more shooting slated for Spring. The show stars  Phase II’s Bobby Rice as Buck Rogers, and the case also includes Gil Gerard and Erin Gray from the NBC Buck Rogers TV series.
