Josh Brolin Rejected ‘Terminator Salvation’ Role

This went as far as McG approaching Brolin (No Country for Old Men). "Josh Brolin is a very exciting actor – we’ll see," he said earlier.

Now, MTV News had a chance to chat with Brolin, who revealed that he was approached for "Terminator Salvation," but had to reject the offer. "Yeah. I talked to Christian [Bale] for a couple hours," he said. "I really liked the script though I hear that’s not what they filmed. The one I read was very interesting and dark. Ultimately though I didn’t think it felt right."

So far we’re still in the dark on the entire plot of this movie, so we can only guess that Sam Worthington stepped in to replace Brolin.

And just a note, McG has revealed to a German newspaper that the final runtime of the movie will be 2 hours and 10 minutes, which is similar to "Terminator 2: Judgment Day."
