New Stargate Movie Title, if there is a Movie!

"Revolution," that is if it gets made at all! After giving the production a green light back in spring MGM which is in such bad shape and is going up for auction before years end has now put the movie back in mothballs and it's not alone, the Stargate Atlantis movie "Stargate: Extinction" will be keeping it company also.

In the spring, the intention was to shoot one or both of the movies this fall, with the SG1 film taking priority in the production schedule.  But continuing economic pressures and loses have prevented MGM from committing now. "Stargate: The Ark of Truth" and "Stargate: Continuum" was filmed in 2007 and was released on DVD in 2008.

Anywho getting back on track here, the script for the SG1 movie has been written by Brad Wright and Carl Binder, who are currently serving as executive producers on none other than "Stargate Universe." The new movie storyline is reportedly set sometime between Continuum and the start of "SGU".  At this year’s Vancouver Stargate Convention, Wright told fans that “I had a story idea that really worked with O’Neill.  And it’s not just his character, by any means. It’s a Stargate story that brings O’Neill back in a big way.”
