JJ Abrams Looking at Micronauts

MicronautsIn an article about toys getting the big screen treatment, The Wall Street Journal mentioned that JJ Abrams (Star Trek) is in-talks to produce a movie about the Micronauts, a Japanese toy line that was recently acquired by Hasbro.

Whether it’s Alias and Lost on ABC and now Fringe on FOX – Abrams is continually putting out television series that just draw in the numbers and that he has become a force to be reckoned with. FOX agrees (after seeing the ratings) – and has given the new series a full season of 22 episodes. The show has some enormous numbers and seems to be settling in at around 10 million viewers…

Shatner Responds to JJ Abram’s “Star Trek” Comments

William Shatner

Will William Shatner be in the upcoming “Star Trek” film? I have no idea, but the whole feud between him and director JJ Abrams has “viral marketing” written all over it.

First, Abrams announces that Leonard Nimoy will have a role in the new movie and maybe even some others from the original cast. But not William Shatner. He claims that it is difficult to bring a character back that has died. The entire time Shatner is releasing statements about how upset he is that he is not in the movie.
