After a good bit of searching Paramount Pictures has reportedly found a new director for its remake of the Sci-Fi classic Dune. The studio has gotten French filmmaker Pierre Morel (Taken, From Paris With Love) to replace Peter Berg, who dropped out last fall to direct Battleship instead.

Kenneth Branagh Wants to Helm “Thor”
Director/actor Kenneth Branagh is in negotiations to helm "Thor," the next Marvel Comics property that will be turned into a live-action film by Marvel Studios which is scheduled to be released in 2010.
Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige’s choice of Branagh is surprising, as Branagh hasn’t really directed an action-heavy film since his debut on "Henry V," the telling of the British king’s conquest of France.
