This is the seventh, and last, book in JK Rowling's series about the boy wizard which will be broken into two films, the first part coming out next November, the second part not till 2011.

Sam Raimi’s Version of ‘District 9’ Type Movie

Panic AttackTwo weeks ago we posted a five-minute short called “Panic Attack” that was put together by a commercial director and FX specialist Fede Alvarez. The short video shows the Earth being ruthlessly attacked by giant robots that came out of the fog. The video is impressive to say the least and you can view it below.

Well now it looks like Sam Raimi (Spider-Man) was also impressed with Alvarez’s “Panic” that he decided to sign him up to develop a new sci-fi film that will carry the tittle “There will be Robots.” Alvarez confirmed this, adding that the movie will have a budget somewhere between $30 to $40 million.

‘The Crow’ Gets Remake by ‘Blade’ Director

Well here is another great film thats on the list for a remake, Stephen Norrington has signed on to write and direct a reinvention of "The Crow," based on the comic created by James O’Barr. Relativity Media is in negotiations with producer Ed Pressman to acquire the rights to the film franchise and to finance the film.

Pressman produced the 1994 Alex Proyas-directed movie, in which rock musician Eric Draven is murdered trying to rescue his girlfriend from thugs, and returns from the dead one year later to exact vengeance. Though the original became a gothic-style hit that grossed nearly $100 million worldwide, it is primarily remembered for a tragic accident in which star Brandon Lee was killed during filming.

‘Conan’ gets Director

It seems that Lionsgate has got it’s director for the upcoming "Conan" movie and that their choice is Brett Ratner (X-Men 3, Rush Hour).
The new "Conan" movie will be the first installment in a series of films, and it is rumored to have a budget of well over $100 million. As in the past casting will be a bit difficult and closely watched by all especially since Arnold Schwarzenegger was so memorably in playing the role in the 1982 version "Conan the Barbarian."…
