Well they have have banned about everything else so now China is taking on time-travel, that’s right folks I said time-travel. In a response to an increase in movies and TV series that feature time-travel, the country decided that history is not represented well and thus all such projects are no longer allowed.

Avatar Banks Over a Billion and Still Going Strong

Avatar movieJames Cameron is sitting on top of the World, with the writer-director’s sci-fi hit Avatar reaching a global box office total of $1.02 billion over the weekend. Avatar has become the fifth film in history to reach the billion dollar mark, after Titanic ($1.8 billion), The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King ($1.12 billion) and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest ($1.07 billion) and The Dark Knight ($1 billion).

For "Stargate" fans who have yet to watch the franchise’s straight-to-DVD releases, you’ll get another chance to prove your love.
Sci Fi Channel has acquired the U.S. television rights to "Stargate: The Ark of Truth" and "Stargate: Continuum," both of which previously have only been seen a DVD release. Both films will make their U.S. TV debuts in Spring 2009.
