‘Thor’ movie gets Idris Elba

We already knew that Chris Hemsworth will star as Thor; Tom Hiddleston will play Loki, and Natalie Portman will portray Jane Foster, Thor's love interest .

Elba will play non other than Heimdall, the Guardian of Asgard, he stands guard on the BiFrost Bridge ready to defend the city from all intruders.

Yomigaeru Sora Gets Live-Action Film

The Japanese production company Bandai Visual is adapting the 2006 television anime series Yomigaeru Sora – RESCUE WINGS – and Rescue Wings manga as a live-action film. Masaaki Tezuka, the director best known for the Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla and Sengoku Jieitai 1549 films, will oversee the project. The original anime’s story centers on a fighter pilot trainee named Kazuhiro Uchida who gets reassigned to a helicopter search-and-rescue unit, much to his (initial) dismay. By contrast, the live-action film will revolve around a female pilot named Haruka Kawashima; the model and actress Yūko Takayama (Cosplay Yūrei Guren Onna) will play the lead role.

Cartoon Network has sadly broke the news on the 20th of September 2008 that Toonami will end all scheduled programming, and die. This, in actuality, isn’t so sad seeing as the only anime to appear on this block currently is Naruto. Cartoon over the last few years has pulled away from anime and has been pre-empting most Toonami shows with other things other than anime.
