Kotobukiya which is a toy company that makes mini-statues and busts based on DC Comics, Marvel and Star Wars characters. The company has an exclusive deal with Marvel and gets all character designs before films appear in theaters.

Well if you look back at the designs for Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk and Punisher: War Zone, all the toys look exactly as they do in the movies. And yes they were all released before the movies ever hit theaters.

So keeping that in mind, Kotobukiya has just released a glimpse at their statues for Captain America and Thor, which means that this is probably our first look at what the characters will look like in their own respected films. You can check out the photos below.

green lantern corps

Here is a few things e already know about the Green Lantern movie, that the main villain will be Hector Hammond (Peter Sarsgaard), and director Martin Campbell has already revealed that plenty other characters from the origin story will also be included.

The good thing is that Campbell has said that the movie will follow the origin story of Green Lantern pretty closely, and that Sinestro may have a part in the film, but only as a mentor. It might not be until the sequel that we actulay get to see him go over to the dark side.

So in the mean time while we wait to see what Hammond, Green Lantern (Ryan Reynolds) and Sinestro (Mark Strong) will look like, here is a sneak peek at some concept art of Kilowog, Tomar-Re and Abin Sur. These are members of the famous Green Lantern Corps.

We still have no clue as to who will play Abin Sur, but judging by the picture, it may just end up being Bill Nighy (Pirates of the Caribbean, Underworld). You can check out the concept art below.

By reports the man had started to feel unwell during the screening of the film earlier this month and was rushed to the hospital where he arrived unconscious. A scan showed that his brain was hemorrhaging. “It’s likely that the over-excitement from watching the movie triggered his symptoms,” the doctor said.

The man died eleven days later from the brain hemorrhage, making it the first death linked to watching James Cameron’s science-fiction epic.

More than likely the death had nothing to do with the movie Avatar itself, but was a reaction to the film being watched in 3D format, which is known to trigger a lot of health problems. So if you have heart problems and high blood pressure it’s advisable to avoid 3D movies.

Push

The studio has just announced that it has partnered with E1 Entertainment to develop and produce a TV series based on Push and has hired screenwriter David Hayter (Watchmen, X2) to pen the script for the series pilot.

The new series will purportedly be an extension of the science-fiction thriller, centered on people with paranormal powers who band together to take down a corrupt government agency.

SNL Avatar

The movie is “Laser Cats 5,” starring Weaver, Bill Hader and Andy Samberg. It is pretty much a spoof of Cameron’s most popular films, including Terminator, Aliens, Titanic and of course Avatar.

Thats not all folks we also have the skit from the show that pokes fun at the sex scene in Avatar. Check out both videos below.

Marvel Comics

Lee continued: “Every one of the Marvel characters, there’s somebody working on it. Somebody is trying to put together a story that will work. It’s just a matter of time — they can only do so many a year. You don’t want to flood the market. I’m sure [they’ll do] the Black Panther, eventually.

For now, Disney is focusing on the characters for other things than just movies, maybe even a ‘Smallville’-type show. “Instead of making a $200 million movie and kind of betting the farm on one character, you can develop a television pilot, a television series,” said Disney’s chief executive Bob Iger. With ‘Smallville’ slowly coming to a end of a long successful run, it will be interesting to see what they will try to introduce to replace it.
Sci-Fi rules

Every movie on the list was a major blockbuster, except for one, which is ‘Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus,’ which is a straight-to-DVD film that was developed by the Asylum company, which has previously released such crap as ‘Transmorphers’ and ‘Snakes on a Train.’ The ‘Mega Shark’ trailer was so bizarre that word spread like wildfire and skyrocketed it to the eighth spot on Yahoo’s list. Also every trailer on the list is either Sci-Fi or Fantasy except one which is ‘Up’ but even it is a animation movie made by Pixar and could be placed in the fantasy category.

Here is the full top ten list:

1. The Twilight Saga: New Moon
2. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
3. 2012
4. Terminator Salvation
5. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
6. G.I. Joe
7. Star Trek
8. Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus
9. Avatar
10. Up

Green Lantern

Campbell has brought on cinematographer Dian Beebe, who previously won an Oscar for his work on ‘Memoirs of a Geisha’ and was nominated for ‘Chicago.’ Also joining the team is production designer Grant Major and costume designer Ngila Dickson, both of whom won Oscars for their work on Peter Jackson’s ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy.

And last but not least, art director Francois Audouy is also on board and his resume is no less impressive, having previously provided concept art for non other than ‘Avatar’ and ‘I Am Legend,’ and worked as art director for ‘Watchmen’ and the first ‘Transformers’ movie.

Casting news will more than likely start coming out soon, but in the meanwhile, at least we know that Campbell is getting some amazing talent to help make this film what it should be and that is awesome.
