A few days ago it was reported all over the place that plans for the live-action Voltron movie had collapsed and died, and instead a new animated series was in the works. Well I just new something smelt fishy and now it seems I was right.

We have been hearing for years that there is going to be a RoboCop remake, they even got Darren Aronofsky to sign on for the project, but there has been very little movement on the project. To me it actually seems to that Aronofsky is not too keen about bringing the character back to the big screen. Also another reason why Robocop hasn’t made any progress is because of MGM’s financial wow’s.
This movie what ever the hell it ends up being called has more twist to it that only rivals Britney Spears life! Now it seems that Disney has picked Garrett Hedlund (Troy, Friday Night Lights) to star in “Tron,” the studio’s sequel to the 1982 cult classic, now they are saying instead of "Tron 2" or "Tr2n" they are just going to call it "Tron" which this just eludes me, we already have a "Tron" movie, and this isn’t a remake! Am I just missing some logic here? Whatever the movie is named will be directed by Joseph Kosinski.
Well over a year ago, Bruce Campbell revealed that he had turned down the role in the sequel to "Bubba Ho-Tep," entitled "Bubba Nosferatu." The reason, Campbell said, had to do with the screenplay by Don Coscarelli and co-scripter Stephen Romano, which features Elvis, both in the past and present, battling a clan of Las Vegas vampires and dealing with Colonel Tom Parker (Paul Giamatti).
Seems we have another cool video game that will be adapted for the Big Screen. Universal Pictures has acquired screen rights to the Electronic Arts video game “Army of Two.” The studio is serious on this project as they are set to begin production in 2009 and has set Scott Z. Burns “The Bourne Ultimatum” co-writer and ‘The Informant’ to write the script.
Well here we go again, yet another spoof movie! Kevin Smith (Clerks, Dogma) is developing a futuristic outer space comedy. Like most spoofs the film will reference other sci-fi movies and revolves around a father-son relationship. Smith has nodded to the genre in his earlier work but has never, let me repeat that NEVER made a sci-fi film in his life…
Batman the Dark Knight has been hitting the big screen now here comes that sidekick Robin to the small screen.
According to Variety, the CW is developing a one-hour drama based on the pre-Robin days of Batman’s perennial sidekick. The Graysons will explore Dick "DJ" Grayson’s youth and adolescence in the same vein Smallville does with Clark Kent…
The Japanese production company Bandai Visual is adapting the 2006 television anime series Yomigaeru Sora – RESCUE WINGS – and Rescue Wings manga as a live-action film. Masaaki Tezuka, the director best known for the Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla and Sengoku Jieitai 1549 films, will oversee the project. The original anime’s story centers on a fighter pilot trainee named Kazuhiro Uchida who gets reassigned to a helicopter search-and-rescue unit, much to his (initial) dismay. By contrast, the live-action film will revolve around a female pilot named Haruka Kawashima; the model and actress Yūko Takayama (Cosplay Yūrei Guren Onna) will play the lead role.
