Kate Beckinsale has been offered the lead role of Lori opposite Colin Farrell in the upcoming Total Recall remake, which is directed by Beckinsale’s husband Len Wiseman (Underworld). Sharon Stone played Lori in the original 1990 film. Take the jump for more info.
David Tennant (Doctor Who) and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Kick-Ass) are joining the cast for DreamWorks remake of Fright Night, the 1985 cult film. Tennant will play Peter Vincent, a character who in the original movie was played by Roddy McDowall as the host of a late-night horror show.

We have been hearing for years that there is going to be a RoboCop remake, they even got Darren Aronofsky to sign on for the project, but there has been very little movement on the project. To me it actually seems to that Aronofsky is not too keen about bringing the character back to the big screen. Also another reason why Robocop hasn’t made any progress is because of MGM’s financial wow’s.

After a good bit of searching Paramount Pictures has reportedly found a new director for its remake of the Sci-Fi classic Dune. The studio has gotten French filmmaker Pierre Morel (Taken, From Paris With Love) to replace Peter Berg, who dropped out last fall to direct Battleship instead.
