Terminator Rights Auction Not Going so Good

TerminatorThe Halcyon company bought the rights to the Terminator franchise for $25 million two years ago, they went on to make Terminator Salvation. Well as we all know that didn’t work out to well for them, so Halcyon in it’s glories wisdom is now auctioning off the rights and think the price should be more than double what they paid for it, they are basing this off the $60 million that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles went for.

Terminator SalvationAs everyone is pretty much aware the Halcyon Company recently announced that it will auction off the rights to the 'Terminator' franchise, in order to pay  off the owners debts. And while the rights will bring in big bucks, it looks like that it will still not be enough for Halcyon to cover the debts that is owed.

Warner Bros Loses Rights to ‘Watchmen’

Well the fight is over, Warner Bros who has been developing the "Watchmen" movie that was to be released March 6th, 2009 release was challenged by 20th Century Fox who claimed that they own the copyright interest to the property. As a result, the studio had threatened Warners that they would take them to court and would make sure that their "Watchmen" movie never got released.

When fans first heard of this, they promised to boycott all upcoming Fox movies, including "Australia" and "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." Out of fear, Fox has announced that if they are awarded the rights to "Watchmen," they will make sure that the film gets released on time and will work out a settlement with Warners.

‘Batman: Arkham Asylum’ Video Game Trailer

A teaser trailer has been released for the upcoming Batman game, entitled “Batman: Arkham Asylum ,” which will be published by Eidos. Apparently, Eidos has the rights to the Batman comics, while EA has the rights to the movies.
