JJ Abrams Looking at Micronauts

MicronautsIn an article about toys getting the big screen treatment, The Wall Street Journal mentioned that JJ Abrams (Star Trek) is in-talks to produce a movie about the Micronauts, a Japanese toy line that was recently acquired by Hasbro.

First released in Japan in 1974, Microman toys were imported to the United States by the Mego Corporation in 1976 under the "Micronauts" name.

Matt Smith Revealed as Doctor Who #11

Matt Smith as Doctor Who An unknown actor named Matt Smith has
been unveiled as the new Doctor Who. He will succeed David Tennant who is
leaving the role after three successful seasons as the Time Lord. The actor
is best known for appearing alongside Billie Piper in The Ruby in The Smoke.
Last night Smith, who will be the youngest actor to play the role so far, said
he was ‘flabbergasted’ at winning the role. “It’s exciting, nerve-wracking,” he

Olivia Wilde gets Female Lead in ‘Tron 2’

Olivia WildeHot damn, Olivia Wilde has landed the female lead role in the upcoming Disney’s "Tron" sequel. Few details are known of the character the actress will be portraying in the film, titled "TR2N." The movie will be helmed by commercial helmer Joseph Kosinski.

Another ‘Terminator’ Sequel Announced

Terminator 5We all new that there was a fifth Terminator Sequel in the works, well now we have some official news on it. Halcyon executives Derek Anderson and Victor Kubicek are developing the a fifth installment in the “Terminator” franchise. Helmer McG, who directed the upcoming fourth film, “Terminator Salvation,” is working with the Halcyon duo on the latest project.

The announcement was among the news that came out of the Dubai International Film Festival. No decision has been made as to where to film the next “Terminator,” although the Middle East was mentioned as a locale.

Majel Roddenberry Returns to Voice Computer in ‘Star Trek’

New ‘Avengers’ Movie Details

Up till now we have known very little about the upcoming "Avengers" movie, except that Iron Man, Captain America and Thor will ban together to fight a foe. But now there is trinkle of info coming down. First off Marvel has released a bit of information, revealing that both Robert Downey Jr and Don Cheadle will appear in the film, also "The Hulk" will be teaming up with the other superheroes rather than fighting them.
