According to their post, “Universal’s prequel to John Carpenter’s classic thriller The Thing is due to begin filming March and continue till June in Toronto.”

Sci-Fi rulesWell here is some more proof in the pudding that Sci-Fi and fantasy is kicking ass and that science fiction is very much alive and is in no danger of going extinct anytime soon. Yahoo has unveiled its list of the most popular movie trailers of the year for 2009 and this year’s top honor was none other than ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon.’ Trailers for both ‘New Moon’ and ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,’ which took second place, were watched over a whopping 20 million times each. Though these are impressive numbers it’s not incredibly surprising since the films were huge blockbusters.
