The AP ran a article comparing President Obama to none other than Star Trek's Mr. Spock and saying that President Obama and Spock are very similar. Even the original Spock, Leonard Nimoy, and Star Trek co-writer Roberto Orci chimed in their 2 cents to agree with the analysis.

And to boot Gil Gerard will be in it, but there is a few twist here and there. First off Gerard will not be portraying Buck, secondly this won’t be at the movies or even on TV, but it will be on the internet coming at you in Webisodes, and it will be nothing like the TV series from the 70’s .

Today Paramount has released a newly enhanced Star Trek D-A-C arcade shooter on PC and the PlayStation Network, and to get you pumped up for it we have two trailers for the game that show some awesome details and insight. JJ Abrams Looking at Micronauts

MicronautsIn an article about toys getting the big screen treatment, The Wall Street Journal mentioned that JJ Abrams (Star Trek) is in-talks to produce a movie about the Micronauts, a Japanese toy line that was recently acquired by Hasbro.

First released in Japan in 1974, Microman toys were imported to the United States by the Mego Corporation in 1976 under the "Micronauts" name.

Dr. Horrible will star in a Batman musical

It seems there’s nothing Neil Patrick Harris can’t do: He was the title character in Joss Whedon’s Emmy-winning, all-singing, all-emoting Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog; he wowed us at the Emmys; and now he’ll be voicing and singing a new character in an upcoming musical episode of Batman: The Brave and Bold, the animated TV series, next week.

‘Star Trek’ to be Completed Next Week

Director JJ Abrams has posted an official message on Facebook to say that the upcoming "Star Trek" movie is almost complete. Here is what he had to say:

"We’re just making final tweaks to the movie — we should be totally locked next week. Then we’re going to flash-freeze it so it’s totally fresh for you in May. I can’t wait for you to see the movie. The cast is awesome. The action and effects pushed the stunt team and ILM beyond their limits. I’m so grateful to this cast and crew — and to all of you for your interest and patience."

Also Paramount Pictures and the IMAX Corporation has announced that Star Trek, directed by J.J. Abrams ("Mission: Impossible III", "Lost" and "Alias”), will be simultaneously released to both IMAX and conventional theatres worldwide on May 8, 2009.
