Comic Book ‘Sleeper’ Gets Writer

Warner Bros has tapped Brad Ingelsby to write an adaptation of the DC Comics "Sleeper," written by Ed Brubaker and is being produced by Sam Raimi with Star Road Entertainment partner Josh Donen.

The comic centers on an operative whose fusion with an alien artifact makes him impervious to pain and allows him to pass the ability on to others through simple skin contact.

Before that some form of Star Trek was on television continuously starting with the Star Trek: The Next Generation in 1987. That’s 18 years of solid Trek. And for you math fans that’s a whopping 624 episodes!

The SpiritWell I was a bit concerned that "The Spirit" might be terrible after watching those bootleg trailers that came from ComicCon, but this new trailer has some great-looking scenes and very interesting footage. As much as director Frank Miller denies it, the film looks very similar to "Sin City." But will it be of the same quality?

NBC has released 17 images for "One of Us, One of Them," the Monday, Sept. 29 episode #37 of Heroes. Here’s how the network describes the episode:

"When four ruthless, powerful Villains — ‘Knox’ (guest star Jaime Hector), Flint (guest star Blake Shields), The German (guest star Ken Lally) and Jesse (guest star Francis Capra) — bust into a bank and take hostages, Angela (Cristine Rose) sends H.R.G. (Jack Coleman) and his shocking, new empowered partner in after them. Determined to derail a cataclysmic future, Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) must first find what he lost along the way.

Shatner Responds to JJ Abram’s “Star Trek” Comments

Will William Shatner be in the upcoming “Star Trek” film? I have no idea, but the whole feud between him and director JJ Abrams has “viral marketing” written all over it.

First, Abrams announces that Leonard Nimoy will have a role in the new movie and maybe even some others from the original cast. But not William Shatner. He claims that it is difficult to bring a character back that has died. The entire time Shatner is releasing statements about how upset he is that he is not in the movie.

“Flash Forward” from “Lost”

ABC might finally have launched a strong companion to "Lost" with "Flash Forward." After heated bidding, the spec script by filmmaker David Goyer and "Star Trek" veteran Brannon Braga is close to landing at ABC with a pilot order and series penalty behind it. Goyer will direct the pilot.
