Plot: Set in 2039, the greatest fighters from around the world come to compete in the last and greatest sporting event of all time, the Fist Tournament. After World Wars destroy much of civilization as we know it, the remaining territories are no longer run by governments, but by corporations the mightiest of which is Tekken. In order to keep the masses down, Tekken sponsors the Iron Fist Tournament in which fighters compete to the death for ultimate glory and receive a lifetime of stardom and wealth.

We are introduced to this violent world through the eyes of Jin Kazama, a street fighter that enters the tournament in order to avenge the death of his mother that he blames upon Tekken’s powerful and controlling Chairman, Heihachi Mishima. He knows that the only way to get close enough to Mishima to kill him is to win the tournament. With the help of Lucas, an aging Iron Fist Champion and fight trainer, Jin makes his way through the tournament, but in doing so, he begins to uncover his own past and inner demons as well as exposing a dark underbelly to Tekken that threatens the very existence of humanity. With futuristic and imaginative sets, a compelling story, and fight sequences combining fighting styles from all over the world.

Plot: The first ‘Deathly Hallows’ installment finds young wizards struggling to find their way in the Muggle (human) world, with their own lives in the balance and the fate of the magical realm in their hands.

David Yates, who directed the last two installments, will finish the franchise by helming both parts of ‘Deathly Hallows.’ The first part is scheduled to hit theaters on November 19th, 2010. The second part on July 15th, 2011.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows

The first installment finds young wizards struggling to find their way in the Muggle (human) world, with their own lives in the balance and the fate of the magical realm in their hands.

"They're paranoid," said Grint. "It's quite a scary world because the Snatchers and Death Eaters are running around everywhere. Harry, Ron and Hermione are just camping out in random places, living rough, in regular clothes."

Director David Yates added: "It's going to feel very real. We're going for a verite approach. Being away from Hogwarts, they're like these three refugees on the run. They're out in the big bad world, facing real danger, unguarded by those wonderful benign wizards at Hogwarts. They don't have a home to go to. We're kind of pulling away from the magic a bit and bringing more reality to it."

2012 movie poster

He continued: "We said to Mark, 'Why don't you do a TV show that picks up where the movie leaves off and call it 2013?' I think it will focus on a group of people who survived but not on the boats … maybe they were on a piece of land that was spared or one that became an island in the process of the crust moving. There are so many possibilities of what they could do and I'd be excited to watch it."

Apparently Gordon has already started talks with ABC, which will have an opening after their popular "Lost" program ends.

"There's hope for the world despite the magnitude of the 2012 disaster as seen in the film," said Gordon. "After the movie, there are some people who survive and the question is how will these survivors build a new world and what will it look like. That might make an interesting TV series."

Disney supposedly cast a wide net as it searched for the lead, because of the title it generated a lot of interest by such stars as Ryan Gosling and Chris Pine who met on the project, while Michael Stahl-David (Cloverfield) was one of the those that actually screen-tested.

Hedlund will play the lead, a man who finds himself pulled into the world of a computer and retracing the steps of a character from the original movie named Kevin Flynn. Jeff Bridges is reprising the role of Flynn, who was a computer programmer but ended up as the CEO of a software corporation. Olivia Wilde and Beau Garrett have also been cast in the project.

The movie is eyeing a spring shoot but to be honest I wouldn’t hold my breath on that.

In the original movie, hacker/arcade owner Kevin Flynn (Bridges) is digitally broken down into a data stream by a villainous software pirate known as the Master Control Program (MCP) and reconstituted into the internal, 3-D graphical world of computers. It is there, in the ultimate blazingly colorful, geometrically intense landscapes of cyberspace, that Flynn joins forces with Tron (Boxleitner) to outmaneuver the MCP that holds them captive in the equivalent of a gigantic, infinitely challenging and deadly computer game.

Though plot details are being kept under heavy wrap, it is known that the new movie will act as the "next chapter." Wilde will play a worker in the virtual world who tries to help fight the Master Control Program, while Garrett will play a siren in the virtual world.

Plot: When California girl Susan Murphy (Reese Witherspoon) is unexpectedly clobbered by a meteor full of outer space gunk, she mysteriously grows to 49-feet 11-inches tall and is instantly labeled a "monster" named Ginormica. The military jumps into action, and she is captured and held in a secret government compound. The world learns that the military has been quietly rounding up other monsters over the years. This ragtag group consists of the brilliant but insect-headed Dr. Cockroach, Ph.D. (Hugh Laurie); The macho half-ape, half-fish The Missing Link (Will Arnett); The gelatinous and indestructible B.O.B. (Seth Rogen); and the 350-foot grub called Insectosaurus. Their confinement time is cut short however, when a mysterious alien robot lands on Earth and begins storming the country.

As a last resort, under the guidance of General W.R. Monger (Kiefer Sutherland) – on a desperate order from The President (Stephen Colbert) – the motley crew of Monsters is called into action to combat the aliens and save the world from imminent destruction.

"Monsters vs. Aliens" is scheduled to hit conventional and 3-D IMAX theaters on March 27th, 2009.

But Jeff Bridges will be returning to the role he played in the 1982 original Tron, about a hacker who is abducted into the world of a computer and forced to participate in a series of gladiatorial type games.

Disney plans to release the pic sometime in 2011.

Olivia Wilde is a regular on Fox’s hit medical drama "House."
