The Hobbit to Begin Filming in June

There are two films that everyone wants to know about, wondering if they will get made, the first is James Bond 23, the MGM suits are currently in talks with Sam Mendes to direct, and Production Weekly has just announced that both Peter Jackson and Guillermo Del Toro will begin filming The Hobbit prequels for fourteen months starting this June in New Zealand.

In order for the first preuel film to make its December 2011 release date, production needs to start as soon as possible, which is why the filmmakers are not waiting for the greenlight. Most are very confident that the new MGM owners will push forward with the new films anyway.

MGM is to start taking bids in just a few weeks and will be sold shortly afterwards. We will keep you updated.
